For the energetic, there are numerous scenic treks; for the slower pace of life, river and lake fishing is available close by; for a spot of high culture, the area is awash with museums, historic buildings, priories, abbeys and minsters; and for the family, the vast North Yorkshire Coastline is the greatest playground around!
It’s the perfect place for your own holiday home, offering a peaceful, friendly, family run park that really does offer something to suit every walk of life within minutes.
Jamie’s Cragg benefits from having a range of great local public houses on it’s doorstep. The Stone Trough Inn at Kirkham and the Crown and Cushion at Welburn are both great locals to have a pint and spot of lunch.
Jamie’s Cragg is an ideal base for sampling the breathtaking beauty of York, Scarborough, The Yorkshire Moors, Dales and Heritage Coast, or taking in the many attractions and activities surrounding the bustling market towns and picturesque villages near by. Nestled amidst pleasant meadows and woodlands in a natural sun trap, this sheltered and secluded graded park forms an oasis of peace and tranquillity in an area that blends some of the most enchanting landscapes with one of the most engaging coasts in the country. At the bottom of Station Road is the River Derwent and Castle Howard Railway Station which was once used by Queen Victoria on a visit to Castle Howard.
The park designed a fenced leisure area so your children can play safely on the swings, slides and climbing frames. Adjacent to the play park we also have a secluded picnic area where you can enjoy a bite to eat in the peaceful surroundings.
